If you’ll notice… my Last.fm has been rather continuous lately. Normally I object to continuity when it comes to listening to music, but lately, I don’t know what it is… I just want to hear whole albums.

Browsing through Borders Thursday during my break in between classes, I stumbled upon a book I thought to be very interesting. In this book, the author finds actual abandoned shopping lists, imagines what kind of person wrote the list, BECOMES the person, photographs herself and writes a small narrative about each character. How imaginitave.
The first thing I am buying when I earn more money is polaroid film.
Indecisive
I had a feeling before I headed off to college that I would find myself unable to go back to the same place year after year when I had the option to go elsewhere if I wanted… As much as I loved it, I find myself not wanting to return to Charlotte. For some reason, I want something new. New people, new places, new classes, new major. New everything. I just cannot settle!

You know what I like about photography?
tylerriewer:
You’re limited to this tiny field of view, but stuck with the fact that you can’t ignore anything inside it. There are no blind spots. No distractions. In real life it’s easy to look past something. Everything is moving and you’re trying to keep up. But a camera can’t squint when it looks into the sun. And that sense of unbiasedness forces you to be conscious of what you’re seeing. It...
Poor computer
I think my computer has a virus. It rapidly deletes disk space, but when I reboot the computer, the disk space comes back.. then is quickly deleted again! This is frustrating!!!!
In my drawing class this past semester, I was constantly criticized during critiques because my drawings weren’t “realistic” or “accurate” enough. It was a great annoyance to me because everyone in the class thought that to be a good drawing, the drawing had to look exactly like the subject. I didn’t want it to be that way. If I did, I would just take a picture...
Things we think about before sleep
via Trollback + Company
I catch myself watching this video almost every night. So I decided to finally post it on here. Trollback + Company challenged their designers, Tetsuro, Peter, Anna, Paul, Emre, Christina and Tolga, to create short films that capture the semi-conscious thoughts they have as they drift from wakefulness to the realm of sleep.
My camera is my best friend.
I miss my camera. I miss not having my little sidekick with me everywhere I go.

Jason Kronenwald, an MFA graduate from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, made one of his first bubblegum artworks called Gum Blondes in 1996. In the last decade he has flirted extensively with these blondes, refining his craft and technique to such remarkable degree that the notion these portraits are made from bubblegum seems preposterous. But gum they are. Comprised solely of chewed gum...
I thoroughly enjoyed this music video for phon°noir by Sebastian Haslauer & Sebastian Koch.
Angela Yuan, a young NYC-based mechanical engineer, has built a fun little clock from an Etch-A-Sketch. Each minute that passes, the machine tilts the toy, shakes it clean and mechanically draws the correct time.
